Senior Network Administrator

We're looking for a Senior Network Administrator with a passion for leading edge technology to join our Media R&D delivery team on contract.  Our R&D Delivery Team is expanding to create and maintain a set of R&D environments that will enable development and testing of complex, globally deployed mobile web based services.  The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of hands-on experience related to network system integrations, SW deployments, and troubleshooting of Web based network architectures.

<b>Major Responsibilities:</b>
<ul>
    <li> Physical Build Out of Large End to End WEB based Environments - Participation in installation, configuration and maintenance of staging environments including network configuration, UNIX server setup, database deployment, web server deployment..etc.</li>
    <li> Own System Administration of the staging environments including user administration and other common administration tasks (e.g. System monitoring and logfile cleanup).</li>
    <li> Ongoing Network Administration (coordination of firewall settings, router settings, DNS settings,etc).</li>
    <li> Debugging system level issues</li>
    <li> Participation in system wide software deployments.</li>
    <li> Monitor health and integrity of staging environments and live environments; improve on the monitoring systems as needs are identified.</li>
    <li> Prepare detailed documents to capture how the systems are configured.</li>
    <li> Troubleshoot / resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems including user access, network setup, database setup and component configuration.</li>

<b>Qualifications:</b>
<ul>
    <li> 5+ years of Network Administration experience with strong background in RedHat OS.</li>
    <li> Experience in setting up and deploying multi-node UNIX environments.</li>
    <li> Experience configuring Load Balancers preferred  (BIGIP 8900).</li>
    <li> Experience with VMWare Virtual Infrastructure (VSphere, ESX, ...)</li>
    <li> Hands-on systems integration experience on a multitude of hardware and software platforms.</li>
    <li> Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions.</li>
    <li> Ability to troubleshoot system software.</li>
    <li> Computer Science degree, or related technology diplomas.</li>
